Welcome to Bitton Cricket Club

We have been playing cricket here at Bitton since 1851 and we are situated on the A431 between Bristol and Bath. We currently run 3 Saturday Senior teams, 1 Sunday Senior team and 4 youth teams, those being under 11, under 13, under 15 and a new under 17 side this season. The History of Bitton Cricket Club

Founded in 1851, Bitton Cricket Club was typical of village cricket at that time, presided over by clergyman and landowners, with tenants and villagers making up the members. Even at this early stage there was an emphasis on player discipline, with fines imposed on anyone dissenting with the captain during play. The cricket played at Bitton conormed with MCC rules.
