On a slow Saltford wicket the visitors slowly but surely reached a respectable total of 155 for the loss of 6 wickets. This was down to a stubborn 57 from Alan White in 88 balls and a sixth wicket stand of 65 with Dan Veale who hit a quick fire 39 in 41 balls. The host struggled to reach their target thanks mainly to the slick fielding of their visitors. After reaching 111 for 4 their batting collapsed and they lost their last 6 wickets for 19 runs falling 25 runs short of Bitton’s total thanks mainly to Sam Brown, Sam Smith and the wily old fox Alan White who all contributed 3 wickets a piece.
